Limestone is a sedimentary rock composed largely of the mineral calcite (calcium carbonate). It is one of the three most popular architectural building stones in addition to granite and sandstone.
Limestone generally is available in a neutral light gray color, but is also available in shades of yellow and tan by special order.
Applications:
Used as sills and lintels in block and brick construction. Popular for use as flagging, steps and treads for landscape applications. Its inherent property of remaining cooler than most other stone in full sun, makes Limestone an ideal paving option for pools, parks and outdoor recreational areas.
Limestone is a popular stone for custom fabrication of such hardscape features as edgings, steps and pool or water feature copings.
